We want to start the week as we mean to go on, by smashing a fun and fresh evening 5KM around Hyde Park. Importantly, Any and all runners are welcome at The Monday Mood Booster - here, we’re all about community, inclusivity, and connecting likeminded people together over a shared passion - running! Therefore, there’s no need to worry about racing and pacing here. It’s all about the good times. If you can run a 5KM in around 30-35 mins, you’re good to go. we can and do take short walk breaks if we need to!

The Origin

Monday Mood Booster was founded in October 2023 by Marcus Bull. The idea was sparked by Marcus' own search for something more from the London running scene. After running every single day for 1,000 days, Marcus had come to value consistency, but he also recognised how lonely it could feel, and how much more powerful movement can be when it’s shared. He wanted to create a space where running wasn’t about performance or 'personal bests', but about presence, connection, and community. To mark his 1,000-day run streak, Marcus brought people together for a fundraising run in memory of his dad, raising money for the hospice that cared for him. That day lit a spark. It showed him how many people were craving the same thing, something kind, inclusive, and joy-driven.

So he started a club. He put the word out, and a few runners joined him that first Monday. They jogged slowly, chatted, and ended up at the pub. That was the beginning. Since then, Monday Mood Booster has grown into a community full of first-timers, seasoned runners, and people who never thought they’d be part of something like this. They run every Monday, rain or shine, and the club remains unapologetically non-performance based. It’s about joy, collective celebration, and winning as one. And as it turns out, when you take the pressure off, the miles fly by anyway.

A note from Dr. Marcus Bull, Founder of the Monday Mood Booster Run Club:

"Monday Mood Booster is a space where movement meets community and celebration. A run club rooted in joy, connection, and showing up exactly as you are. I started it to remind people (and myself) that running doesn’t have to be about performance, it can simply be about feeling good, together. Let’s start as we mean to go on, and let’s boost some moods!"

I’m Marcus, the founder of Monday Mood Booster. I came to running later in life and never really saw myself as a “runner.” But over time, it became a way to feel good mentally, not just physically. I found joy in both the personal progress and the people it brought into my life so much so that I ended up running every day for over 1,650 days. Now, I guess I am a runner.

I started MMB to create a space where movement feels joyful, social, and non-performance based. It’s the reminder that movement is for everyone. I lead the sessions, hold the vision, and love seeing people show up and surprise themselves.

Hey, my name is Charlie. I joined MMB looking for like minded people who wanted to move outside without the ego! I have found my love for running alongside this fantastic community of people.

I’m also fortunate enough to be co-host of the Mood Booster Podcast (streaming everywhere now) so if you want to have a deeper chat about anything in life, I’m very much here for that!

I’m Charles. I met Marcus at one of the GymShark runs and loved the idea and energy around the Monday Mood Booster. I have been one of the first people to come and I'm still here because it is consistently without a doubt, one of the friendliest run clubs with great energy. The running part is also great! The pace and run itself is beautiful and easy going. If you have any questions or want a chat, feel free to say hi!

I started running at the end of 2023 and joined a few run clubs to stay active and meet new people. When I found MMB in March 2024, it brought so much more than I expected. I've made some amazing friends and gained so much from being part of a supportive running community.

Running with others has helped me achieve things I honestly didn’t think I could do and it's given me a real boost in confidence and happiness along the way. I love meeting new people through running and sharing whatever advice or encouragement I can.

Hey guys! I’m Theo. I joined MMB in 2023. Back in 2022, I decided to take running more seriously and went along to the On Run Club after a recommendation. That’s where I met Marcus along with a few others who would later help start MMB. A few months later, Marcus mentioned he was launching his own run club, and after a couple of runs, I was all in and I haven’t looked back since.

MMB is so much more than a run club. It’s joy, community, and friendship. It’s about moving, meeting, and connecting with like-minded people. It’s a space where everyone is welcome, and I can’t wait to see where it goes next.

Hi I am Anna and I can't tell you what I love the most between running or the running community.

I joined MMB in 2024 and I love seeing how far it has come. All the smiley faces and the shared miles have reshaped my idea of community and support.

The running community was there for me, so I am here for you.
